Ed Snyder, CFP®
Financial Advisor | Co-Founder
My financial services career began in 1994 with a large national firm. I soon realized that most “financial advisors” were salespeople working for companies who manufactured financial products that they wanted to sell to consumers - whether it was right for the client or not. These were not financial advisors working for their clients. These were salespeople working for large institutions.
I co-founded Oaktree Financial Advisors with a vision to provide financial advice from a truly independent perspective. With Oaktree there are no sales pitches. Instead, we work for our clients, developing long-term relationships with the highest level of service.
I’m a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and Chartered Financial Consultant®. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Ball State University, and more importantly, I met my wife there.
I serve on the Board of Directors of the Little Red Door Cancer Agency and chair its investment committee as well as serving on the Investment Committee of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church.
I’ve been married since 1995 and have five children. I enjoy spending time with my family, exercising, reading, and the occasional (or not so occasional) cigar.
