My financial services career began in 1994 with a large national firm. I soon realized that most “financial advisors” were salespeople working for companies who manufactured financial products that they wanted to sell to consumers - whether it was right for the client or not. These were not financial advisors working for their clients. These were salespeople working for large institutions.
I co-founded Oaktree Financial Advisors with a vision to provide financial advice from a truly independent perspective. With Oaktree there are no sales pitches. Instead, we work for our clients, developing long-term relationships with the highest level of service.
I’m a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and Chartered Financial Consultant®. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Ball State University.
I serve on the investment committees at Little Red Door Cancer Agency and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church.
I have five children and enjoy spending time with them, fitness and nutrition, reading, and the occasional (or not so occasional) cigar.
